Stuart Dean Co., Inc hires a new President/Chief Executive Officer

NEW YORK, NY – May 3, 2011-- Stuart Dean Co., Inc is pleased to announce that global executive search firm DHR International's efforts have led to the placement of Mark Parrish as their President and Chief Executive Officer effective May 1, 2011. The position is based in the firm’s New York headquarters. The search was led by David Hoffmann, Chairman and CEO of DHR International.

As President and CEO at Stuart Dean, Mark Parrish replaces the departing Jim Degan, CEO since 2002. In his new role, Mr. Parrish is responsible for providing overall management vision, leadership and direction and driving short- and long-term profitability by strategically expanding operations and product offerings. He will lead the transition of the Company from its current size to its next level of growth, functional organization, goal-oriented management, operating efficiency, and sophistication.

Mr. Parrish joins Stuart Dean after serving as President & CEO of Deceuninck North America, the $90M North American subsidiary of a $750M Belgian-based, publicly held parent (Euronext:DECB).With over 400 associates, DNA provides extruded components to the window and door industry and a variety of other building product distribution channels in thirteen nations. Mr. Parrish graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point, served in Army Aviation for six years, and then earned two Masters of Science degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Engineering and Management. He began his corporate career with Harley Davidson, followed by Interface, Inc. (NASDAQ:IFSIA), a $1B Atlanta-based floor covering manufacturer, followed next by Fenway Partners (NYC Private Equity) in two of its portfolio companies, MW Manufacturers and The Simmons (mattress) Company.
