| Type: |
Commercial Kitchen Grout Restoration |
| Project Overview: |
The back of the house tile floor grout was being damaged by the daily harsh cleaners. Many areas the grout came loose and the subfloor was exposed. |
| Challenge: |
The back of the house kitchen is extremely busy which makes it difficult to shut down sections of the kitchen for long periods of time. We were also challenged with coordinating our work with the restaurant’s cleanup crew since there is a limited amount of hours to clean the back of the house before the morning crew starts. Stuart Dean was hired because of our Thermo Setting Epoxy Grout that dries in 2 hours after installation. Our thermosetting grout does not require temporary masonite protection to allow the grout to properly cure for 72 hours. |
| Work Completed: |
Restoration involved removing old grout, replacing broken tiles and installing new Marcoat Thermo Setting Epoxy Grout. |
| Results: |
The Cheesecake Factory and Grand Lux Café managers were happy with the results, found our technicians to be sensitive to the customers and employees and worked quickly and professionally throughout the project. |
| Client Feedback: |
Our floors are much easier to squeegee clean throughout the shifts because the new epoxy grout is level with our tiles which keeps our grout joints free of grease buildup. The floor also looks much cleaner and pleasing to walk on. |
