Sustainable Solutions – Our Commitment to the Environment

Companies throughout the world are moving in the direction of environmentally friendly services, materials, and processes. We have put in place methods to provide our customers with green solutions that enable us to offer alternatives to our traditional practices and processes wherever possible. As the leader in our industry and the only national provider of metal, stone, wood, and glass restoration and maintenance, Stuart Dean Company recognizes our responsibility to our customers as well as the world in which we live.

Our Green Committee consists of executive members, general managers, operations managers, sales managers, and administrators tasked with developing our green initiatives and advancing our progress in this area. As a national member of the Green Building Council, as well as many local chapters, Stuart Dean is working with leaders to establish green standards within our industry.

The Stuart Dean Company is proactive in our efforts to become more environmentally conscious while providing our customers with solutions to qualify for additional LEED points. Our national purchasing manager works closely with all vendors to research and develop materials and processes that conform to the standards established by Green Seal, Scientific Certification Systems, and other certification bodies.

We have improved our standard operating procedures to conform to Green Seal standards. Our metal maintenance practices include the application of lacquers that adhere to GS-47, CAAQS, and SCAQAM standards. Equipment used in all areas of restoration and maintenance programs meets GS-37 and 40 standards for indoor air quality. We are currently using cleaning materials that have Green Seal certification as well as incorporating the use of microfiber towels within our restoration and maintenance services. Along with our fleet management company, we are striving to reduce our carbon footprint by replacing older vehicles within our fleet with new model vehicles that conform to current emission standards. We have also modernized our vehicles to include installation of ramps, allowing equipment to be loaded without unnecessary strain on the work force.

We are all on this earth together and we all need to do our part to preserve it. Stuart Dean Company has made strides to become the environmentally friendly provider of our services and is committed to continue to make progress in this area. Our company is dedicated to working with our vendors and strategic partners to further develop these initiatives.
