System Administrator – Corporate Office – NYC

Stuart Dean is seeking an experienced System Administrator for its Information Technology team in midtown New York City.  This position will be responsible for ensuring end-user satisfaction by supporting operational and technical processes which drive the computing needs of the company.  In addition, this role is responsible for maintaining the operational integrity, stability and efficiency of the technologies and services provided.

  • Manage Client Engineering by providing advanced technical support, management and solution engineering
  • Provide engineering support and technical expertise regarding integration of new and existing technology into IT systems architecture. Identify emerging technologies that may be applicable to business requirements
  • Plan, design, lead and coordinate desk side related activities and provide administrative direction and leadership for daily operational support for Windows, MAC and mobile systems and services
  • Support and manage a Microsoft infrastructure environment and related applications including Active Directory and Office365
  • Server management on vmWare platform (Windows and Linux)
  • Provide remote and phone support for employees in satellite offices and various locations using remote access tools


  • Minimum 6 years of System Administration experience in Windows/Linux/MAC environment
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Technical knowledge of Network, PC and platforms operating systems, including Windows Server platforms, VMware
  • Strong knowledge of local area network administration
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory concepts and services (DNS, DHCP, GPO)
  • Experience documenting operational processes within a technology environment
  • Experience managing escalation activities within a technology environment
  • Experience with project management including the ability to handle tasks like outsourcer consolidation, replacement of antiquated phone systems, etc.
  • Must be able to handle the Service Desk, Networking Equipment, Network Security, Telephone and mobile system providers
  • Ability to work independently and to escalate when appropriate
  • Excellent customer service and client interaction skills
  • Dedication and drive to take ownership and see projects through to completion
