Expansion on the Health Sciences Campus |
| Project Overview: |
Hospital expansion was completed December 2008. The expansion included 312,000 feet of hospital space in the 10-story patient Pavilion, 12 operating room suites, 60 private surgical rooms, 30-beds in Intensive Care Unit and 12,000 sq feet of additional emergency care space. The new expansion and improved amenities were geared toward creating a healing environment and a serene patient friendly environment. |
| Challenge: |
During construction, the new exterior glass was etched by welding burns which could not be removed with typical cleaning. Stuart Dean was hired to polish the marks from the glass to save on having to replace the glass. We were looking for a solution to cause the least disruption to our patients. |
| Work Completed: |
Restoration involved machine polishing the glass. |
| Results: |
Cooper University Hospital Facility Staff were happy with the results, found our technicians to be sensitive to the patients and families and worked quickly and professionally throughout the project. |
| Client Feedback: |
We now have clear glass to see the beautiful outdoors. |
